The goal of this 3-year research project (2021–2023) is to optimize deicing and anti-icing operations on airport runways. The project will help improve and further develop methods for assessing the performance of liquid and solid chemicals currently used on runways and open the door for the development of new methods for determining application rates based on weather conditions.
